Are Car Rentals available at the Airport?

What is the local telephone number for the Airport Administration Office?

The telephone number to speak with Airport Administration Staff is 208.788.4956. The Airport Administration office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and will be closed on Fridays. The Administration building is located at 1616 Airport Circle to the right of the terminal.

How early should I arrive for my flight?

We recommend you arrive at the Airport at least 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure time in the summer or when the weather is good in the winter, but at least 2 hours is strongly encouraged, especially during bad weather and peak travels times and during the holidays.

What should I do if weather conditions restrict service to and from the Airport?

Does my child need an ID to travel?

Children under the age of 18 do not require and ID. TSA has a public website that has additional information about traveling with children https://www.tsa.gov/travel. Also confirm with your airline. There are restrictions and guidelines for children traveling alone, traveling international, traveling with a guardian, etc.

Is my child considered a carry-on?

No. However, if your infant is flying with you and does not have his or her own seat, many airlines have an age limit and may require proof of the child’s age. Please confirm the regulations and limitations with your airline.

Is my pet considered a carry-on?

Yes. There are several restrictions and limitations regarding pets flying in the airplane cabin and as cargo. Confirm the regulations, limitations, and fees with your airline.

Can I park my bicycle at the Airport?

Yes. We have a bicycle rack at the end of the north end of the terminal.

Does the Airport have an aircraft operations curfew?

No. The National Noise Abatement Act of 1990 prevents the airport from instituting a curfew on aircraft operation. However, the Airport has a voluntary curfew asking aircraft not to operate between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Mountain time, under any circumstances, except emergencies. Is curb side check-in available?

Not at this time. A passenger may be dropped at the Terminal curb side but there are no curb side check-ins.

Who is allowed to enter beyond the screening check points?

Please contact your airlines for more information on how you can escort an unaccompanied minor child, elderly person, or someone with special needs through the security screening checkpoint and to the gate.

Can Friedman Memorial Airport make travel reservations for me?

No. We have no control of an airlines schedule, ticket prices, ticket counter hours, or other airline operations. If you need to make a reservation, change a reservation, or have other customer service needs, please contact your airline or a travel agent for further assistance.

I just got married and my ticket is in my new name, but my driver's license isn't. What do I do?

Bring a copy of your marriage certificate or, if there is time, renew your driver’s license and use the temporary one issued to you to access the security screening checkpoint.

I need a wheelchair. What do I do?
